Different sections of various classes are distributed across three houses for their duties on a weekly basis. Each student is allotted to one of the three houses, which inspire friendship, leadership and a spirit of healthy competition across academics, sports, discipline, values and arts throughout the year.

My association with the management of Kupwara Public School & Fayaz-KPS-International school Kupwara began under the most tragic circumstances in the institution's history — the sad demise of my beloved elder brother, mentor, guide, and the Founder Chairman of KPS, Late Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Lone. His passing profoundly changed the course of my life and entrusted me with the responsibility of carrying forward the vision he so passionately nurtured. I consider it both an honour and a sacred duty to preserve his legacy and continue his mission of providing quality education rooted in excellence, integrity, and compassion. With the support of our dedicated staff, students, parents, and well-wishers, I remain committed to strengthening Fayaz-KPS-International school Kupwara as a centre of academic excellence and moral values.

After serving the Education Department in various capacities for more than 39 years, I superannuated on 31st March 2020. Driven by my passion for teaching and quality education, I joined KPS & F-KPS as Administrator in April 2021. Working in close coordination with our dedicated team, we are committed to carrying forward the vision of our beloved Late Fayaz Ahmad Lone Sahib by promoting academic excellence, discipline, moral values, and the holistic development of every child. In accordance with NEP 2020, we place equal emphasis on curricular and co-curricular activities, regular teacher training, and innovative teaching practices. A three-tier academic monitoring system — comprising the Class Mentor, Class Patron, and Academic Council — ensures quality education and continuous academic progress.

Every school has its own character, its own distinct and identifiable 'personality'. The integration of academic excellence and proficient learning is one of Kupwara Public School's unique strengths. We strive for high standards in the transmission of knowledge, within a dynamic and interactive environment, enabling our students to gain distinction and honours in their chosen fields. Our rigorous academic programmes, wide array of co-curricular options and outward-bound activities provide ample opportunities for students to acquire leadership skills and become lifelong learners. We have augmented our infrastructure with a magnificent new building, added new buses to our fleet, improved the science lab, enriched the library, and upgraded classroom furnishing. We have also established a full-fledged Hifz-ul-Quran wing.
